About this work
The dying Cecilia leans against the bath in which she was boiled alive. After she survived the bath, Cecilia underwent three sword strokes and was wounded in her neck. Several figures look on and two women scrub the blood from the floor. Left Pope Urban I and above an angel with laurel wreath and palm branch of martyrdom. Inscription and coat of arms in the lower margin.
