About this work
Phytalus sits on the left kneeling on the ground. He receives from Ceres a fig tree as thanks for his hospitality. Right two dragons through which the chariot of Ceres is usually drawn. Middle bottom three lines of Latin text (Pausanias' 'Description of Greece': I, 37, 2).
