About this work

Psyche is convinced by her two sisters that she has not slept with Amor but with a poisonous snake. In the top right, the two sisters are brought to Psyche by Zephyrus (the personification of the west wind). Italian text in two cartouches in the lower margin. Numbered bottom left: 12 (twice).
