About this work

Allegorical representation of the season summer. Apollo and other figures float on clouds in the sky. To the right Juno floats with her peacock and the wind gods. Juno sprinkles water over the people suffering from drought on the ground. To the left sits Ceres with a dragon and distributes grain to a figure with donkey ears, Minerva and a naked woman with a painter's palette.
