About this work

King William I meets the industrialist John Cockerill and assures him that he always has money left over for the country's industry. Standing on the shore of a lake with on the other side the former summer palace of the Prince-Bishops of Liège in Seraing, where William Cockerill with his sons John and James established a large factory with coke-fired blast furnaces. With a two-line inscription.
