About this work
Frieze with the assault on the Roman people's leader Tiberius Gracchus which took place on the order of Roman senators. Due to the large tangle of figures it is not always clear who belongs to which party. The composition gave the artist the opportunity to depict thirty-five nude male figures in varying poses.
