About this work
Five court marshals on horseback in a row, each holding an attribute referring to their task at court. The rider in front is a cup-bearer with a cup; the following are successively a cook with a large spoon, two men with scissors, a barber and a tailor, and a cobbler with a last. The men form part of the triumph of Emperor Maximilian I.
