About this work

Christ is arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane by soldiers who gather around him with halberds, clubs, and torches. He is chained by the neck. Simon Peter has cut off the right ear of the slave Malchus with a sword, and this man is healed by Christ. Top right the electoral and ducal arms of Saxony on two small shields.
