About this work
A scene in a cartouche of palm branches. In the foreground the king's messenger invites a man to the wedding feast. The guest excuses himself with the pretext that he has just married. His wife stands next to him. On the left the messenger comes to a man who excuses himself from the feast with the pretext that he must care for his livestock. In the background the messenger comes to a man who excuses himself from the feast because he has bought a new field.
