About this work

The holy Philip stands with a cross staff between ornaments that partially refer to his martyrdom. On the right the snake is depicted that was driven by Philip with his cross out of a temple. The ornament on the left has the body of a snake but the head is not visible. The snakes are crowned by a cornucopia.
