About this work
Saint George on horseback raises his sword to kill the dragon which lies on its back on the ground. He has already lost his lance in the fight, this lies on the ground. To the left and right lie skeletons of animals and humans already devoured by the monster. In the background kneels the king's daughter and prays for the safe return of George. Top left on a branch of a tree hang two shields with the electoral and ducal coat of arms of Saxony.
