About this work
A boy rides a horse to the right in a landscape. With his left hand he holds the reins, his right arm is raised. He is richly dressed in a cloak and a headgear with feathers. The boy may be a Saxon prince. In the background lies a city with city walls and a city gate. On the right in a tree hang two shields bearing the electoral and ducal coat of arms of Saxony.
