About this work
The apostle Jude Thaddeus sits on the ground and is tortured to death by an executioner with a club. Various pagan clergy are witnesses of this event in the interior of a church. The representation is closed at the top edge by a round arch. In the spandrels two shields bearing the electorate and duchy arms of Saxony are depicted.
