About this work
Achan sticks a spade into the ground and buries the goods stolen by him, a mantle and silver and gold, in the ground under his tent. In the background between the tents in the camp, Joshua stands with his men, he is in conversation with members of the tribe of Achan. The sin of Achan refers to the commandment You shall not steal. This is the seventh print from a series of ten prints.
