About this work

God appears before Isaiah. He is depicted on a throne with a seraph on either side in heaven above the temple. An angel flies to Isaiah and cleanses his lips with tongs with a glowing coal to deliver him from guilt and sins. In the margin above the image is the text Isaiae VI [Isaiah 6].
