About this work
Elisha is insulted by children on the way to Bethel for being bald and he punishes them, they are devoured by bears. In the background another scene is depicted. Elisha witnesses the moment Elijah is taken up into heaven in a chariot of fire. In the margin above the image is the text IIII Regvm II [2 Kings 2].
