View of the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. On the left in the foreground the back of the Nieuwe Kerk, with the base of the never-completed tower (demolished in 1783). Along the walls of the church various goods are sold in stalls. Behind that the back of the Town Hall on the Dam. In one of the buildings on the right was the post office. Title in Dutch and French below the image.
