About this work
In the temple a group of people has gathered around the altar. The high priest Simeon kneels before the Christ Child held by Mary. Behind Mary, Joseph looks on leaning on his staff. Far right, a woman holds a cage with two doves. Reverse impression of a print that is part of a 53-print series after paintings by Titian and Veronese.
