About this work
The winged Time is kneeling with a piece of cloth in his hands, symbol of quality and durability, before a woman working at a loom. Hanging on the loom is a signboard with a monogram. The handworker is assisted on the right by Mercury, god of trade. In the background, the personified invention looks on. The print is numbered next to Time: N.o A.u.
