James the Less, standing full-length, a club in one hand and a book in the other. In the background on the right, James falls from the roof of a temple; in the background on the left, he is beaten to death with clubs. This print is part of a series of 16 prints, consisting of a title page and 15 portraits, depicting Christ, Mary and the apostles.
