Maid with her lover. According to the poem below the print a maid takes advantage of the absence of her employers. With her lover she sits at a small table in the mistress's room drinking and eating by candlelight. Against the wall stands a large laundry basket. The maid Bely has fun with her lover Dirk. Scene from the comedy The Discovered False Virtue by David Lingelbach from 1687. At the bottom two six-line verses in Dutch and in French.
