About this work

In a mountain landscape a lamb is slaughtered by two kneeling figures, with next to them a figure making a blessing gesture. In the background figures fall in worship before an offering that is on fire. Perhaps here Elijah competing with the prophets of Baal is depicted. Top right: fol 98 (according to the inscription in pencil). Print used in a book by Lambert van den Bos with in total twenty prints by Arnold Houbraken.
