About this work

A man with a cross on his arm and a woman with a cross around the neck kneeling in prayer. Behind them two child figures and the head of a woman (nun?). This print is part of a large representation, composed of 20 separate plates, of the history and works of the Teutonic Order (center) surrounded by depictions of the Land Commandery Alden Biesen (bottom) and the associated commanderies (left and right).
