About this work
A hideous old woman with hair in the form of snakes and a snake in her hand eats a heart. Beside her stands a dog, above her flies a little devil. Below the image the Latin term for the sin personified by the woman. This print is part of a series of seven prints in which the seven deadly sins are depicted as allegorical figures.
