View of the entrance gate with the castle Ter Noot located behind it, built in 1596, in the area of the current Bezuidenhout in The Hague. In the foreground two resting persons look in the direction of a group of talking men, several pedestrians and a carriage. The image is framed by a border with oak leaf motifs and a scroll with the title on it.
