About this work

Portrait of Charles Bonaventure de Longueval, Count of Buquoy, Field Marshal and Field Marshal in the Thirty Years' War. Portrait in an ornamental frame with two angels at the top holding the coat of arms and motto of Bonaventura: 'ex utraque gloria'. In the curls of the parchment the portrait of Aegidius Sadeler. Bottom right chained figures; bottom left battle (the Battle of the White Mountain, 1620). The print has a Latin inscription.
