About this work

Two kings, accompanied by their ministers and officers, shake hands above the altar of peace in a temple. In the sky the all-seeing eye surrounded by rays of light and harpies tumbling from the sky. In the background statues of virtues with Peace and Justice embracing in the middle. In the foreground Ambition, Discord, Deceit and Atheism chained to War. In the margin a ten-line caption, in two columns, in French.
