About this work
In a temple Panurge, prompted by the high priestess of the Bottle of Bakbuk, poses his ritual question: what is the answer to my life question, what is truth, what is wisdom? Left in the background the giant Pantagruel together with a group of figures watches the ritual. In the margin stands a line of text in French, marked bottom right: Book 5. Ch. 43.
