About this work
Print printed from two plates: Portrait bust in oval to the left of preacher Pieter Pietersz, with skullcap. Under the portrait are the name of the sitter and a four-line verse in Dutch. The portrait is framed with an ornamental border, printed from another plate, and decorated with palm leaves and olive branches. To the left and right of the portrait are references to Bible verses.
