About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, carrying a spear (lance) almost horizontally above his right shoulder. His hands far apart on the spear. This is the second movement for raising the spear to the shoulder and carrying it horizontally. This print is part of the series of 32 numbered prints of spear-bearers from the Wapenhandelinghe.
