In the clouds the personification Liberty, with a scepter and the liberty cap in her hand. She is surrounded by putti and Mercury. Below her the Batavian Lion, with sword in hand and coat of arms of Amsterdam at the side. The print is after a ceiling painting by Gerard de Lairesse and is part of a series with Biblical, mythological and allegorical subjects.
