About this work

In the center Fama, the personification of fame, who holds crowns in both hands above the portraits of Alessandro and Cosimo de' Medici. She stands on the Marzocco, the Florentine lion. On the feathers of the wings are the names of places in Tuscany. In the background a view of Florence.
