About this work
After the fable of the magpie with the peacock feathers by Aesop. The fable describes how a magpie adorned itself with peacock feathers to belong to the peacocks. However, it is unmasked and pecked and plucked by the peacocks. The moral of the story teaches that one must remain in one's own station.
