About this work
Sixteenth part (border work, lower left section) of a print of the siege of the citadel Saint Martin on Île de Ré in 1627, executed by English troops under the command of the Duke of Buckingham and concluded by French troops under the command of Cardinal Richelieu. On this sheet on the left a suit of armor and in the middle/right a depiction (surrounded by military attributes) of an attack by English troops on the walls of Saint Martin.
