About this work

Grisaille, depicting Neptune with his trident in hand standing between seahorses, in the corner of the ceiling of the Chambre des Bains in the Hôtel Lambert. The depiction of Neptune is flanked by two Nereids, each with a water jug. In the center below, a putto with a coral antler on his head. Print is part of a series of prints after the paintings in the Hôtel Lambert in Paris.
