About this work
Relief with Victoria seated on a pile of weapons, holding Hercules' club and a palm branch. The relief is flanked by Hercules catching the Cretan bull on the left and by Hercules with the horse of Diomedes he has captured on the right. Instructions for mounting the print alongside other prints run along the edges. The print is part of a series of prints that together represent the painted ceiling with the Apotheosis of Hercules in the Hôtel Lambert in Paris.
