About this work
Amor has robbed Jupiter of his eagle and thunderbolt. Jupiter remains with empty hands on a cloud. Amor descends to the earth, where a river god and river goddesses look up. On the left a lion and a panther. After the painting in the Cabinet de l'Amour of the Hôtel Lambert. The print is part of a series of prints after the paintings in the Hôtel Lambert in Paris.
