View of reed stems waving in the wind, on a small islet in the water. Latin and French texts in letterpress above and below this print. This sheet is part of the emblem series 'Monastic Life in Emblems'. The second state of this series comprises, in addition to an illustrated title page and 26 emblems, a title page and a dedication sheet, both in letterpress without images.
