About this work
Christ is arrested on the Mount of Olives after being betrayed by Judas. On the left stands Judas, holding the money bag around his neck. Christ is pushed forward by the soldiers and is pulled by his hair in the process. Depiction of the Bible verse John 18:6. Below the scene four verses in Latin by the Polish poet Maciej Kazimierz Sarbiewski.
