About this work
In a wooded landscape, Saint Anthony stands by a river. He wears a monk's robe and hood. In his left hand he holds a staff with a tau, and next to his right leg is a pig, his attribute. In front of him stands Satan with the outward appearance of a satyr, offering him fruit.
