About this work
A man, clamped in a shell-shaped structure, carries on his shoulders a frame of scrollwork. On this frame rests a shell full of children. The shell is supported by two women who stand in the middle of the scrollwork. On either side of their feet sits a satyr with a woman on his lap. Belongs to a series consisting of a title page, a text page and 14 pages with grotesques with scrollwork, satyrs, garlands, trophies, animals and fantasy creatures.
