Reformed people are forced during so-called dragonnades to convert to the Catholic faith, 1685. Soldiers torture a Huguenot by drumming on a copper cauldron placed on his head, after having kept him awake for several days. Top right: IV.D.Pl.II. Bottom right: Page 151.
