About this work

The Naval Battle of Kamperduin on 11 October 1797 between the Batavian fleet under Vice-Admiral Jan Willem de Winter and a British fleet under Admiral Adam Duncan. Middle of the battle. Centered the Vrijheid (this ship under command of De Winter) and the Hercules cutting down its burning mizzenmast; on the right, the English fleet.
