About this work
Christ stands next to his cross, the crown of thorns on his head. The blood from the wound in his side is caught in a chalice. In the background a landscape with a winepress and a shepherd with his flock. In the margin a Bible quote from Isaiah 63 and a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
