About this work
To the left in the foreground a rich man (with a purse in his hand) tries to squeeze through a gate. Behind him a camel, driven by three men: a farmer, a judge and a merchant. They try to force the animal through a needle held by a hand coming out of the clouds. To the left in the background the way to the kingdom of heaven which leads to Christ in the clouds. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a series with the subject the misery that wealth brings.
