About this work
Christ tells his disciples a story: If someone owns a hundred sheep and one of them strays, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the mountains and go to look for the stray animal? If he succeeds in finding it, then, as I assure you, he will rejoice more over that one than over the ninety-nine others that did not stray. Letters stand next to various elements in the scene corresponding to the legend in the margin.
