About this work

Miracle of the Holy Sacrament in Brussels, 1370. Altar with the mantle of Mary around the miraculous host, in a large triumphal arch erected by the Archdukes Albert and Isabella. On this altar, Emperor Charles V is said to have laid down his crown upon his abdication in 1555. With a three-line Latin inscription.
