Attack on Amstelveen, 1 October 1787

In the context of the siege of Amsterdam and surroundings, the Prussian army led by the Duke of Brunswick attacks the town of Amstelveen on October 1, 1787. The patriots defend themselves and fire cannons from a position at the enemy army. Houses are on fire. Two horses are frightened by the cannon shots.
