About this work

In the context of the siege of Amsterdam, the Prussian army led by General Calkreuth fights on October 1, 1787, in the area of Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. The patriots defend themselves and fire cannons from a position at the enemy army. Part of a group of seven prints of the battles with the Prussian troops around Amsterdam in 1787.
