About this work
In a landscape before the ruins of an ancient building, Mary and Joseph sit. Mary shows the child, lying in a cloth, to the shepherds. Joseph sits beside her. Behind them, the ox and the donkey. A shepherd carries a basket of poultry on his head. To the right, God with angels in a cloud.
